Under the medical scholarship and return service program that the law creates, the government shoulders all expenses to send beneficiaries to medical schools, provided that they will work in the country for the same number of years they were under the scholarship program. After graduating and passing the board exam, the government is mandated to open up plantilla positions for beneficiaries in public health facilities.

The Work-From-Home law institutionalizes telecommuting as a work arrangement for workers in the private sector to render work at an alternative location through the use of technology.

The law strengthens the existing Occupational Safety and Health Standards by providing penalties for noncompliance to safety and health issues in the workplace.
